The demand of fuel in our world, nowadays, seems to increase even more. People depend mainly in the production of the diesel, since its importance is widely used. But then, the effect of using these gases and the cost it offers to the people is unaffordable. Moreover, the pollution that comes from the use of the diesel, results to the continuous destruction of the environment. This study would help produce a biodiesel that is pollutant-free and affordable.

The purpose of this study is to test the utilization of the Jackfruit seeds as a raw material in the production of biodiesel.

The researcher prepared a 3.8 kg of ground Jackfruit seeds and was then mixed with 3 liters of hexane.

The oil was extracted using the Solid Liquid Extractor (Soxhlet). After getting the oil, it underwent Sterification, where the glycerin was removed, and the biodiesel separated.

The sample underwent a Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Testing. The components of the sample were tested and were compared with the compounds present in the NIST Library of the De La Salle University, Manila, Chemistry Department.

The outcome showed that the biodiesel from the Jackfruit seeds were effective as a source of biodiesel.
