Juns Reunion

**

Joke ni Ronjell

Ang mga PINOY, bow...

"ale, pabiling colgate, ung close up." - adik ka sa toothpaste?

"sarado mo pinto. Lalabas ang aircon." - sosyal, may paa?

"yaya, salubungin mo ang school bus ni junior" - tama yan! pasagasaan mo!

"anak, tumabi ka sa sasakyan ha" - patayin mo rin si junior!

"tinuka ako ng ahas!" - may tuka? ano un, bagong breed ng ahas?

"may tonsil aq" - kami rin!

"may candy ako, yaw mo?" - offer ba yan?

"tulog ka na?" - malaman mo pa kaya kung oo?

"lowbat ako e" - de-baterya ka na rin?

update

Gamewerkz, Juns, Maria Flordeluna, Nametag, at Photography: Pakikonek Please

Dearest Readers,

I’m working at
Gamewerkz again. It’s good to be back. I did the layout for Precious Silver. It feels great when you see your output, kaso in-edit din ni Manong Royce. Peace, bro. We also had a drill. We had to copy exactly four invitation tags in just 30 mins. I finished 2 out of 4. Yey, first time niya kong kinausap kanina. Gusto niya sigurong interview-in si Scrappy, pero ako interpreter. Haha.
Not bad naman diba, at 10 days before school starts. Eto naman trabaho ko sa TGJS. Layout artist. haha.

Anyway, sino ba makakatulong sakin? How to export objects retaining their transparent backgrounds.

order pics at Gamewerkz Grafix & Cybershoppe.

CAMERA! Canon EOS 400D!

Yan. Update lang sa aking buhay.

Paalam. Au revoir!

Comment on 'Pro-GO is not equivalent to pro-Erap"

"That’s the sad truth. Strategy, we may call it – to win the hearts of anti-GMA voters. Probably they looked at Filipinos as children who would agree to everything who would satisfy their candy cravings. If they had their own minds and principles, they should have stood by it. Instead, they chose to portray images of corruption. And that was their way to win our freedom."

Philippines' Historical Reality Show

Philippines' Historical Reality Show

Stated in the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, Article VI, Section 3: No person shall be a Senator unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines and, on the day of the election, is at least thirty-five years of age, able to read and write, a registered voter, and a resident of the Philippines for not less than two years immediately preceding the day of the election.

Wanted by the masang Pilipino is someone who could raise their status quo, maybe someone who could flood their drained bank accounts. Required by the entrepreneurs who subsist in the fluctuating world of stocks and business is a big name that could grant incentives and hoist their eminence in the market. In the sagacity of idealism, others may seek articulation to be the voice and image of what was once a reverie. In the world of ignorance, others may yearn for the face – the one whose posters they once thought were endorsements of a new beauty clinic.

How many times the Filipinos had been fooled? They were but images that portray good actors or actresses – too good that they made us believe that their role is their real personality. Just like how Eula Valdez and Jean Garcia played their role as Amor Powers and Claudia Buenavista that struck the country.

We were once on top – a country that was taking pleasure on its riches until we felt the dictator’s arm clutching our freedom. The state loves freedom, no doubt – proven by the rally scenes that take over the news everyday. The state’s excellent economy was forfeited to reclaim the free will that was taken from us.

Now that we have salvaged what was left of us, we are given much power to make a change – a good one, to retrieve what was once ours.

Pinoys should establish standards. We should vote for someone able - someone who has the capabilities, a person with knowledge and understanding to construct laws not for himself but for the majority of the people. He should be an individual who has the guts to stand on his principles, not changing sides – favor to the appealing and someone who has the record.

Last May 14, the Filipino people were doctors of the ailing land and juries of the historical reality contest. We may not have unexplained powers to change the present, but we had supremacy to direct the future.

Stated in every Filipino’s hope is someone who will lead the nation into its prosperous condition

Supergirl meets Oble

It was my normal afternoon – a lot of computers in the scene, busy workmates working hard to meet the deadline, and I, miss-trying-to-keep-on track was working with a client’s picture. I was asked by a client who was in race of time to post his pictures in a political manner – ‘Are you working here?’

‘Yes, sir’

‘How old are you, are you a voter?’

‘I’m only 15’

‘You look like a 5th grader’

Thank you for the compliment, sir. It’s appreciative when someone tells that you look much younger than how old you are. Or maybe not.

‘What year are you now?

‘incoming freshman’

‘1st year high school?’

‘no, college in UP’

I try to go back to that conversation. I’ll be entering college in just three weeks time; I’ll be learning, reaching for achievements, or I might end up awful at everything. Who cares? I passed the UPCAT! And in three weeks, I’d be in UP Diliman.

It was just the vacation before my senior year when we were very serious about being admitted in the university. I can still remember our mentor asking me what course would I be taking – an undecided look was the answer. She asked me what my favorite subject was. I heard someone say ‘English’, so I said English, and she advised BA English Studies.

And now, I belong in College of Arts and Letters, BA English Studies.

I realize that with this privilege, comes great responsibility. Independence is a word I try to link to UP not because our classes start the same day as our independence day. (That’s why I picture the school welcoming students with rallies.) Independence, because everything now will depend on myself – my future, my standings, or my next meal. I consider it as trying to look upon ourselves – looking at ourselves as superheroes, protector of the world; someone who might not be in a cape, but who is capable of being on her own.

Watch out, world: when Supergirl meets Oble!
