Childish Views

In a world that gets older everyday, I begin to question myself: ‘How come children see the possibilities in every thing that grown-ups declare impossible?’

In this stage of self-exploration, I seem to seek myself as days pass by. I seem to live in this world with desperate clueless ness. Believing is sometimes juvenile and ignoring is often too cynical. The imaginative image of the world slowly fades into a map those geographers made.

As time defeats us, mysteries are washed out by the habitual ways of everyday life. Our views are often disparaging of the mysteries that the world holds; too afraid that faith might be false illusions and that absolute truth is the lie we strongly doubt. We tend to take life for granted for we don’t explore what is hidden beyond the picture.

Life can not be alive without ties that we treasure. As part of growing and along the experiences of everyday, we connect with people along the way and we establish friendship. I have been living with friends side by side; learning about life with peers and taking advices from friends of different ages. Ties are made through the bonds shared together, and treasured most when longed for.

I have been used living in that scene – going through everyday with them, too used that I will feel sadness when it is time for farewell. Tomorrow won’t feel the same because something special is missing. Longing is such a sweet sorrow for love is stronger within the heart than the eye.

Love is created through friendship, and friendship is developed from love. What comes first, we may not know, but the joy it offers the heart is immeasurable. Love drives us to be better persons. It is the heart that sees rightly. What we see may be the image we force our eyes to see, but through the heart, one can see rightly. The obdurate views that we have turn into colorful images of life, thus everyday won’t seem ordinary because of our enthusiasm of something new.

Friends are treasures for they complete me. I may not be me if it wasn’t for them. Four years in high school is lively, particularly because of my peers. We have been teaching and learning through each other for years. Soon, we have to bid each other goodbyes. May the bonds that connect us be stronger as the years pass by. Also, may our hearts lead us into the path of righteousness.

Through our innocent hearts, we see the world as a child, not letting time spoil our dreams into a world of impossibilities.
